My PTSD comes from years of violence in my marriage. Many times he threatened my life with knives and guns as well as his own life. If anyone knows the batterers 'power wheel', that's what happened.
I divorced him last December after 9 years. That in itself is a huge battle.
Been in therapy, on anti anxiety meds, tried Zoloft but too many side effects. I suffer from low back problems, in pain daily. Having 3 rd set of cortisone shots aug 17th. He electricuted the nerve endings but that failed too. Double carpal tunnel to boot w/ botched surgery on left hand...I share this because PTSD is enough then add physical impairments, argh!
I joined here to learn and help if possible. Getting better is the goal, Normal? That's a whole other challenge.
