I haven’t had a refill of my mood stabilizers in weeks and I’m starting to regret it.

I’m not sure what age you are, but you seem young. If so, I wouldn’t hold on tight to any diagnosis you get, I’d just go with your treatments. My daughter was told she was BP2. Come to find out, as she matured and got off of drugs such as weed, she just has adhd.

Childhood I think i was SA'd in some way as a child but cant remember?

My therapist tells me that it doesn’t matter if it happened or not, because the feelings are there. So you still need to treat it.

    Therapist attachment

I’m doing much better with this, but I still hate it. Long ago, we did a thing where she would write me a card and give it to me the appointment before she left. I treasure those cards. 15 of them! She even wrote me 2 cards for when she was gone two weeks. The cards said inspirational...

    Prayer Requests

I need some prayers to help things move in a better direction with my T. We have been in a rupture for a few weeks now. And it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

Is my therapist tired of me?

Well. Today was interesting. She didn’t leave, but she wants me to add a counseling support group on the side, where I can practice tools and get outside support. She’s done with us trying to convince each other on changing our viewpoints on what I need between sessions. Even though I agree...

Is my therapist tired of me?

I’ve been doing so much self care this week, it’s ridiculous. (Though, necessary for my survival). Part of her original point was that I’ve been doing it half-ass. So, I fixed that part. One thing I did realize today is that I was so dissociated in the last two appointments that I imagined...

Is my therapist tired of me?

I need her to drop her current therapy agenda and listen to and help me heal from the pain this is causing me. I need her to notice her counter transference. I kind of think that because she is a supervisor and very experienced therapist that she sometimes has a blind spot to her own...

Is my therapist tired of me?

She probably did have good intentions. Maybe I was mind reading. At the end of today’s session she asked me what I need from her. That is what makes me most concerned. I’m afraid if I need something she doesn’t want to give she will use it as proof as to why we should move on. Normally, we...

Is my therapist tired of me?

She wasn’t actually yelling…. That was just how my child parts interpreted it. Her voice was animated and louder than usual. I grew up in a very quiet family.

Is my therapist tired of me?

Last week, my therapist yelled at me and said “I call bullshit” twice. This was in reference to me not doing self care and making an effort to follow the things I’ve learned how to do. My sensitive personality felt threatened. I pushed back saying that I forgot about my list. Younger parts...

    Who survived lowering Effexor?

I’ve been in therapy for many years. Yes to psych and doctor. I was just seeking some people’s experiences. I’m actually feeling more normal now. Still some ups and downs.

    Who survived lowering Effexor?

@Flying Dove My psychiatrist said that pouring some out of the pill and putting it back together is fine. He also said that it’s such a small dose it shouldn’t be a difficult transition. —it has been difficult—. The reason I’m concerned about my overall health is that they have checked all...

    Who survived lowering Effexor?

I have been trying to go from a 75/37.5 combo to 75. I realize that’s a small change, but I’m very sensitive to medication. I’m doing everything I can to help my high blood pressure, lower cost and stop this weight gain. So far, I tried emptying some of the capsule and putting it back...

Working with younger parts & success stories

In our early work: The safe places where some of my parts live: my grandmother’s farm. The joy of that place is endless and full of places to explore. Another place is a room that has crayons and coloring books. Nice adults that stay with those parts. One place that my therapist suggested...

Working with younger parts & success stories

We’ve worked a lot with my “parts.” I also do not have DID. However, dissociation in my daily life or in therapy has been my norm for coping, which is what we are trying to get away from. Early in my therapy, my T would talk to me of how we could imagine somewhere that my younger parts would...

Is that posible that I developed ptsd symptoms from my childhood trauma only in adulthood (26 yo)

I had panic attacks in childhood, but didn’t know what they were. My official label is ptsd, but didn’t seek therapy or receive that label until middle age. My trauma never seemed that bad to me because I had blocked much of it out. The flashbacks became triggered when my children hit the...
