@ladee @GrayOwl
True PTSD is different from substance abuse but addicts usually have underlying issues- often PTSD. Working on them together is usually more effective than apart.
I'm having more issues not relapsing now since I know drinking numbs me.
I'm glad there is AA. It works for a...
@Junebug
I don't know much about it either. None of us can understand. I just know what seems right to me. I read a few books about past life regressions where things like this were discussed. It makes more sense than one shot at life where wrong answers means eternal hell. No one is...
@Gadgie
I suppose that perps may seem to deserve to become victims. Many of them were but this doesn't excuse their choices.
Everyone has shit happen to them. We just don't see it. I agree some have more than others and it's not fair at all.
It gets so complicated to answer the "why do...
There's one in the Seattle area that connects through Joint Base Lewis McCord.
RWB has a national website that lists all the teams. You can find your local one there.
A mama and nany deer grazing. The baby thirsty and tried to drink from the sprinkler. Or she just liked playing in the water.
Another bit of cuteness was this:
Ferret nose by Whyteferret posted May 24, 2016 at 2:12 PM
That is the nose of my ferret sleeping in her hammock.
That
that was my experience as well. I already think I'm crap. I don't need to be told I'm powerless and a hopeless person. I do that on my own.
What helped me is "Smart Recovery." Google it. It's a lot more positive and more skills related
Some wishes may be fine. Wishing the past be different is pointless. You can't change it. Wishing for something now or in the future might provide some goals to work towards.
the things that you can't change are the ones to release (like your doctor not leaving).
As for stopping: I find...

I think most therapists don't "abandon" clients. The process allows you to ease away as you heal. And the good therapists will let clients return if needed.
There are some exceptions though
@Cashew, @FridayJones
That makes sense. I was thinking more an F bomb to start off a physical issue. Mi got "fired" by my last therapist. I dropped too many F bombs and called her bitch and some other choice words. I scared her. ;):watching: I've been told that I get the "I'm going to...
@Cashew
Is it really a fight to tell someone you're mad at them? I suppose it matters how you do it.
If your response is along the lines of "F you" it may be a fight/ combative.
If it's "that comment ticked me off," as an opening for discussion, different story.
Just my thought on it.
OP

Three fold Law is not literal. It just means your actions have some sort of outcome. If you send out negativity or harm someone deliberately, there are some sort of consequences attached.
Do I think my PTSD and brain injury are consequences for something I did? No. It...
My brother was allergic to milk and lactose intolerant.
Maybe that's why the little guy is so unhappy?
The docs can test for that
My brother had to eat a non-dairy product and moved to baby food pretty quickly.
I don't know much about infants though.
@ladee
People can empathize though. You don't need to walk over broken glass to know it hurts.
Maybe it's not understanding I want them to have, but more compassion or empathy.
@ladee
@EveHarrington
I don't buy the Christian hell either. Yes,there's an accountability but having someone suffer forever is not compassion or even morally right. He harmed me for a brief time period if you think about eternity. Him suffering eternity wouldn't balance the scales, it...
@Bine
"Ever mind the Law of Three
What you send forth comes back to thee."
It works both ways. I just get sick of people's BS sometimes.
How would having someone understand/ experience one day of pain and fear really harm them? If they become more compassionate and understanding, isn't...
I used the PTSD Handbook several years ago. When it brought something up, I showed him the exercise and we went through it.
For the most point, it was on my own although he'd ask about it every once an a while.
That worked well for me
