Guanfacine And Concerta (ptsd And Adhd Treatment)

Excellent point. Perhaps we'll keep the Guanfacine where it's at and perhaps he'll add something new..I guess I'll find out soon enough. Thanks for all your input. It really does help me navigate through all this.

Childhood When Your Single Parent Has Schizophrenia ..

Thank you for listening. We learned quickly not to question her reality. She answered that swiftly and with fury. You actually should never question a schizophrenic at all because things really go haywire if you do. To answer your question about being institutionalized, She was the one...

Guanfacine And Concerta (ptsd And Adhd Treatment)

Thanks again Joey, those sound like excellent recommendations. The wife and I were just talking about either lowering the Concerta, (because I'm kinda freaking out as we speak), or upping the guanfacine to better align with my body weight. You're right, I this this P to talk with me, or...

Guanfacine And Concerta (ptsd And Adhd Treatment)

Thank you for your reply Joey, I appreciate the help. My therapist says she's certain I'm ptsd, but my psychiatrist hasn't even opened his mouth and said anything. Very vague guy. He is just writing scrips. I am doing CBT and that's going really well. I'm anxious to get more things going. (i'm...

Childhood When Your Single Parent Has Schizophrenia ..

My history of childhood trauma was made possible by my single mother with schizophrenia who raised my brother and I. We were in essence the parents in the family at ages as young as 5. What do you do when you can tell at age 5 that your sole caregivers sense of reality is wrong. When you are...

You know you have complex trauma when......

..when you have piecemeal symptoms of ptsd, c-ptsd, and bpd, but feel like you are the only one with your unique mix. Makes you really doubt if you have really identified the problem or still clueless, I think that's the hallmark of c-ptsd.

Poll When Did the Symptoms of PTSD First Appear, After the Initial Traumatic Event?

Same with me, trauma at childhood, symptoms of aggression, defensiveness, irritability, etc etc at age 25, however, i developed hypervigilance instantly after the worst of the trauma, (childrens shelter, had to keep my back to the wall, so to speak).

Guanfacine And Concerta (ptsd And Adhd Treatment)

I read a couple much older threads on Guanfacine, but couldn't reply due to the posts age. One post asked for other using Guanfacine and asked what they thought, the other discussed the uselessness of Guanfacine proven in clinical study. I wanted to reply to both, so i'll state my case here...

    Sufferer , Let's Do This!

Thank you for the suggestions, I just added "The Courage to Create", and "The Body Never Lies" to my audible list of books to buy. I just finished "Childhood Disrupted" by Donna Nakazawa, and currently reading (listening to audio book at work actually), "Heal Your PTSD" by Michele Rosenthal.

    Vistaril For High Anxiety?

I thought Vistaril sounded familiar, had to think on it, but I was given Vistaril as a supplement medication to my paid meds after shoulder surgery. I was told it makes the meds "work better". I read up on it and gathered that it is an antihistamine that opens capillaries and lets the pain meds...

    Sufferer , Let's Do This!

It's been about a month since my new therapist "guanteed" me I have ptsd. Like most, I doubted that, believing it was only for soldiers. Honestly, I felt guilty even considering it to be true. "I don't belong with those brave people who sacrificed themselves in war!" I thought. They...
