That's it - I have officially entered the twilight zone...
I woke up in the middle of the night, reached down for my phone to see what time it is and found the dog asleep on it. Husband woke up and said it was 1:38am.
I dozed and then found my phone... 2:38am. Dozed a bit more, found my...
Oooh - lucky you! I read that a couple of years ago and loved it. The last chapter or two confused the heck out of me so I hope the film might clear it up for me!!!
Well I made it as far as 1:19am!!!! I have no idea what has happened to my body clock :wideeyed: We have new neighbours too and their little girl woke me up again at 7:00am - but that's not a bad noise I guess...
Dear Gizmo, I am not sure what to say - but I feel as if I want to say something to you. I completely agree with all that the others have said and they have offered some fantastic advice; especially the part about differentiating between dealing with things as a child and as an adult.
My mum...
Oh I am hopping mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x3:
On Tuesday it was just about as bad as it's been - I nearly passed out at work, my heart was racing, pounding, erratic - you name it - it was awful. Wednesday morning I got the 24 heart monitor fitted and....
NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!
Well...
Oh Discarded - I am so, so sorry. I would reach through the screen and hug you if I could. Wouldn't it be great if we had a crystal ball and could foresee the consequences of our actions? Personally... I would send him a card. You are still his wife and hopefully - somewhere deep down - he will...
Ok - gimmie back that fairy!!!! :roflmao:
After weeks of waking up in the middle of the night and not knowing what time it is, Husband woke up at the same time as me so I asked... it was 1:00am and that was it - I was awake. Wow - I could have been surviving on 3 hours sleep a night for...
I am so glad that they found your dad's problem in time. My dad had his done about 6 years ago - I was in pieces! All I could say was "but it's my dad" as if he is supposed to be invincible! He is fine now and I'm sure your's will be too. Big hugs and wishing you very long a peaceful sleep! x
Ah ha - thank you Gizmo. Sounds fantastic. I love Christmas tea time because then you can pick at all the leftover bits - cold sprouts and bread sauce are my favourite!!!! But turkey sandwiches and stuffing come a close second... sounds like it could be a Grinder of sorts
I am so grateful for a present from a Forum Friend - it arrived today and has cheered me up no end. Thank you to this Forum for letting me make such a good friend x
I think holidays can be hard for a lot of people when you are expected to be oh so happy and you are just oh so not! I do think it is fantastic that you have all created new traditions to help with that though - all traditions have to start somewhere...
I do have to ask though - what on earth...
Thank you so much for my pressie - I got wind chimes! They make the most beautiful, restful sound. Now all I have to do is move house so I can hang them in their rightful place... :)
I once took the dog to the vet and had to stop the car half way there to check I'd remembered to put her in the boot :wideeyed:
I mentioned this - possibly unwisely - to the receptionist, who said that people quite regularly leave cats in baskjets by the counter once they've paid the bill... I...
Hello Goldenkhild (hope I spelt that right - it's a great name). I would say that - just in my opinion - he has a lot on his plate right now. He may need all the emotional energy he has to get through his time out there and when he gets home you will have time to work through things. I's just my...
I have to say that my Husband never had a lot of therapy sessions, but he never really talked about them when asked. I presume because the sessions brought back so many bad memories. He would occasionally blurt out bits of random information and for me it was just a case of knitting these...
Thank you both - it's good to hear from people who have them. Hashi I am in the UK too, so will try and find the one you mention. The one I looked at on Amazon was the Phillips one that Over9000 has - that's one heck of a lamp!!!! Which is why I didn't want to pay for one - or hint for one for...
I was in the supermarket last night and they were playing Christmas Carols  I have to say I don't normally mind and I'm lucky in that Husband (Sufferer) loves Christmas and turns in to the world's biggest child :roflmao: so I'm normally having to stop him stock piling Chocolate Oranges...
Husband was very restless last night - I found that holding his hand calmed him down a lot and helped him settle and eventually sleep... me? Ha! I was ok until he rolled over and took my hand with him as if it was a bit of quilt!!!!! He nearly dislocated my arm and I was hauled across the bed -...
