Ah, now that is exactly what is in my head!

    Prepping And Bugging Out

I think I didn't make the above comment clear enough and for that I apologise. My son's are collectors of medieval/Viking weapons and history. Their weapons do not leave the house except for re-enactment. They make historically accurate shields and scabbards but never take their weapons...

What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

Still no heating and it's freezing. Come on Mr. Boiler man what's keeping you!

    Prepping And Bugging Out

I have had the same thought Rumours. My sons are young, I am 50. I would love to live a simpler life but my age and my health are against me. For them, there is a life after, one which they would love. For me I think it would be very hard indeed. My eldest son has just told me that when...

    Prepping And Bugging Out

I think this is where they are learning it from and from watching prepping programmes. It's funny but it seems quite normal in the US but some people are getting more interested in the UK while others are complacent. It is the old 'it will never happen to me' thing. They are looking at...

    Prepping And Bugging Out

That is what my lads want to do DMerish, they want their own land and to escape from the rat race. I would be quite happy living a simpler life. I would still like to be on the Forum but I think I could survive without it. Where your sons live sounds amazing! Wow a survival course sounds...

    Prepping And Bugging Out

For a while now my son's have been talking about 'Prepping' and 'bugging out.' Now I had never heard of these phrases before but my son's explained that it was a method of preparing for an apocalyptic event. Prepping involves having enough supplies to survive an apocalypses and Bugging Out...

What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

Broke. The boiler broke today so I have no heating and no hot water - again! :( I had to pay the excess on the boiler insurance and they declined my card which although overdrawn still has an overdraft. I still don't know why it was declined. I had to get my son to pay it on his card...

    Tell Me Something.....

I always wake up singing, even after nightmares. If someone says something and it reminds me of a song I will sing it! Now that cannot be normal but then I've never been 'normal' and wouldn't want to be! :roflmao:

    I Realize That I

I realize that if I want to keep people in my life I have to accept them as they are, even if I don't like it but that it doesn't me I have to accept abuse. Such a fine line, I am still learning.

    Symphony's, Ballets And Musicals.

Wow Ayesha! I always wanted to go and see the ballet or an Opera. I have watched bot on TV but it is not the same as the theatre. I have seen some musicals: 42 nd Street Carousel Numerous Gilbert and Sullivan's Seven Brides for Seven Brothers Phantom Les Miserable and... Spamalot! I love them...

    Tomorrow Is, Trans Remembrance Day

I am with you in thoughts and prayers Theresa. People always reject whet they do not understand, cannot cope with those who are different or individual and some will look for differences just so they can pour out their hatred onto someone. So unjust. A hard day, it will pass, gentle hugs...

I'm Doing This For Me, Because I'm Worth It

Hugs Britt . The depression can feel like you have weights on your feet or a ball and chain. Give yourself time, you can do it and the colours of nature are very healing.

    I Realize That I

I realize that I expect people to try to understand my PTSD and to study it before trying to help me. I now also realise that they probably never will and I need to except their ignorance, knowing they probably couldn't cope with the truth. I realize that I was afraid that a set back would...

    Songs You Relate To

I was watching a video about PTSD on Facebook and the music played over it struck a chord and made me want to cry. It is by 3 Doors Down and is called 'When I'm Gone.' There's another world inside of me That you may never see There're secrets in this life That I can't hide Somewhere in this...

    Current Weather

Very cold today. We had a hail shower this afternoon but it cleared up soon. I have heard that the Met Office are expecting 100 days of snow. Now that would be unusual for the UK and will cause a lot of trouble as this country grinds to a halt if we get a tiny bit of snow!

What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

I'm feeling a bit numb and think it is residual anxiety. I watched a video about PTSD and it made me want to cry. Not a bad day otherwise. Hugs to all.

I'm Doing This For Me, Because I'm Worth It

Wow! The colour is similar to mine KP, if you let it grow longer people will think we are related! :roflmao: You look great! Keep pampering, you deserve it! I did a 5 mile walk with my son around the local area yesterday - I didn't find it too difficult and although it was cold the sun was...

I can't wait to see what you look like KP! I have to confess that my husband thinks I pay about £20 to get my hair done when it is actually double that. I have had my eyebrows waxed just to shape them (I actually don't have many!) and I do get my top lip waxed every 5 weeks - now that...
