Thanks. My wife and i are thinking of moving and getting away from all the reminders/triggers. Police officers that i worked with have texted me but i didnt respond. I needed a clean break from police. I really dont miss it and im more happy retired. Take care.
My police state disability has me 100 percent disabled so i'm going to get life time payments, however, i'm not sure about worker's comp. I am only 48 years old and i was grossing around $6000 per month as a police officer. I think workers comp should give payments until Social Security kicks...
I just got approved for Worker's compensation and now i'm assigned a nurse case manager(ncm). I know the ncm works for the insurance co and their role is to hurry up and get you "well" so that they can stop paying and settle the case.
Anybody have any experience with ncm?
I was approved Disability Retirement and i am officially retired Aug 1st 2016. I obtained my Retired police id thursday and turned in my uniform and equipment...great feeling.
8 police officers killed in the line of duty in one week. In nearly 20 years a LEO, i have not seen it this horrific. Im trying to stay positive and not go backwards with my progression...it's difficult for me.
yep....last sunday i was stressed thinking about the hearing and now im waiting on my 1st retirement check. HR said 1st check will be October, officially retired Sept 1st.
