Thanks for your answer Sophia! And I'm sorry for the experience you had with Lexapro. In the end my anxiety has subsided and I'm starting to feel better - now on 37,5 mg of Zoloft. :-)
Hi,
I wonder if someone have gotten increased anxiety after several days on a SSRI? It seems like I'm okay during 4-5 days, then the anxiety, dissociation and fear starts to increase daily. I started on a very low dose 12.5 mg (I'm on 7,5 mg of Mirtazapine as well) and had increased anxiety and...
I would like to know if anyone knows about any trauma therapist doing therapy through Skype in English? It's for a friend that aren't able to get out of bed due to clots in her legs...
Thanks for any suggestions!
@joeylittle
Thanks! I'm actually taking estrogen with my hormone treatment. And the doctor knows that. So I decided to discontinue the meds yesterday. I felt they were too strong for me, unsafe with something changing my brain that much neurologically on such a low dosage. So I based my decision...
@PandaBear My side effects are also getting worse every day. Today I thought I was going to loose it. A lot of fear, crying spells and this horrible feeling in my head. Like if someone is blowing air into my brain and it's going to explode. I also have a son (lives with me every second week) and...
@joeylittle
Do you say this is normal? Did you also feel like you couldn't cope with the side effects? I'm feeling very scared because the effects are so strong. I never felt anything like this on any antidepressant...
Wanted to post an update of my Lamictal journey. I've been taking 1.5 mg of Lamictal for 5 days (1st day, 2 mg). But today I'm getting off them. The first 2 days I felt okay but since then it's been bad. I'm having a very unpleasant pressure inside of my brain (not pain). It feels a little like...
@ joeylittle Thanks for your extended answer.
Getting off fluoxetine and mirtazapine fast to try Cymbalta is not an option due to my intense withdrawal problems (have to go super slow). It would take me too long.
And about Abilify, as I read and understood it could be as hard or easy to take...
@joeylittle Forgot to answer about abilfy, nobody suggested that one...
@stp2012 Thanks for your comment, it's amazing how differently drugs do affect us. When you started Lamotrigine did you remember if you noticed any improvement in your depression and anxiety?
@joeylittle About the protocols here in Spain - haven't felt there are any :-(
A month ago I found a psychiatrist/gestalt therapist that I like (though I know he's not that experienced - he gets support from a more experienced doctor regarding the meds) and they recommended Lamictal due to my...
I know I'm sensitive to meds and I also believe the fact I was on Zoloft for 18 years could have changed my biochemistry some how. That's what many doctors say can happen...
I'm very frightened of this med since it seems quite strong and have some nasty side effects. I'm also scared it could...
Hi, I'm new to this site. I have cptsd, being an adult child of an alcoholic, with a lot of childhood traumas in my luggage. I'm about to start Lamictal and since being very sensitive to medicines (feels like my nervous system is hypersensitive after trying too many SSRI in a short time) my...
