    News American Politics

@EveHarrington Apology accepted, thank you. I must say my message was written very late at night, while very tired, so it was also not representative of how I normally write messages. Apart from that the whole message made no sense in any case. Let's just forget about it ok.

    News American Politics

I do not appreciate your post, please refrain from this type of ridicule like tone with me. I know peanut butter was a silly example, still highly frustrating to me, and only a sketch to how much is behind in this country.

    Ptsd Specific Emot-icons

Just saw this thread in the weekly email newsletter, great! These two I really like, also combined as in parts in the train wreck :wacky:

    News American Politics

Standard of living is quite high, medical system and care is very good, high efficiency, but ohhh so boring, so traditional, so behind, everything so expensive. Peanut butter, wow maybe one store that has one little tiny jar of it. It is noticeable not part of the EU, because it has isolated...

Poll Who Pays For Your Psychotherapy?

Yes! This is what I always say too!! Just make it twenty years I did in place of your ten years of cognitive BS.

    Unable To Make Conversation

I used to do this in the supermarket, maybe also other social situations and I hated it. I believe it is a biological social human cue when you smile it means that you mean no danger to the other, so you signal you are safe and probably is meant to avoid increase of tension, anxiety when in a...

    Flashback Accompanied By Physical Pain

@ShodokanJenn Since you are interested in SE, the person behind SE, Peter Levine has written a book called: Freedom from Pain: Discover Your Body's Power to Overcome Physical Pain Dead Link Removed From Amazon: Maybe this is helpful for you, as they mention it can be used for self-care.

May I carefully introduce the word abusive in this context? This is really not ok.

    ED Eating issues, dysfunctional

Would the underlying idea not remain the same then, like not allowing to go off guard, but stay on guard?

    ED Eating issues, dysfunctional

Maybe it comes from the evolutionary perspective that when you are alone it is not safe to eat, or to prepare food. It feels as if you are not part of that safe group of tribal members that eat together and are safe together. Alone you have to stay on guard and can not do that while eating.

    ED Eating issues, dysfunctional

I had this for months last fall and still have days that I hardly eat. As @sun seeker mentions it is all about survival and storing our energy from that perspective. I recognise this so much. And I like to think what people say when you are having a hard time: they will say that is really...

Can't See How To Move Forwards

Could you write it down at home and take with you? Email it? Can you say it out loud at home and record with phone? Are you a crafty person and make a painting/drawing about it? Is there something you really like to do and can focus on and at the same time speak about it? If there is so much...

What Do People Think About The Term 'mental Illness'?

Very interesting. I agree from own experience. In case of job applications I believe I should never mention two things with regard to CV gap and that is brain surgery and ptsd. If it was knee surgery I would not hesitate to mention it, but brain surgery makes people doubt if everything is really...

Klonopin (benzo) Withdrawals - Same Dose?

LOL :roflmao: old p-doc should retire I see your point in how messed up this is in your situation. With regard to withdrawal of benzo's it depends of course on the dose you are on, but the last time I withdrew I took half a year to withdraw from 4.5 mg Lexotanil per day. The point is that...
