    Prayer Requests

Having dealt with fellow PTSD/Moral Injury sufferers, going back to superstition is not available to most of us. War tends to prove the myth that there is some sort of god, and if there were such an entity, it is certainly not trustworthy or worth worshipping. In fact, religious upbringing is...

    Retired FF depressed, ptsd

PTSD getting worse is absolutely normal as we age, suffer health issues, and retire. What you are experiencing is normal in most ways. Once you accept that, find a support group of peers, a non-judgmental counselor and vent your frustrations on paper as an exercise for yourself. Gung ho...

Sufferer Choir boy turned killer for the Empire in Vietnam, 1972. 49th year of PTSD management and 6 years into Moral Injury Recovery.

I am in SE Tennessee. MI and PTSD are intertwined. Both my VA psych Doctor and Veterans Service Officer have concluded that most PTSD cases they deal with are more akin to moral injury. There are no drugs that help with MI symptoms. Religion is the main cause of MI and is useless for those...

Sufferer Terrified - Here because I need to know that people have felt the way I do now and have recovered.

I accepted that PTSD/Moral Injury would be a lifelong commitment to manage for myself and loved ones. I also accepted that there would be no easy quick fix, that there would be victories and setbacks, and committed myself to keep rising to the challenge and help others do so along the way...

Sufferer Choir boy turned killer for the Empire in Vietnam, 1972. 49th year of PTSD management and 6 years into Moral Injury Recovery.

I have been a student of PTSD for 49 years since the Eastertide Offensive in Vietnam. I was a Gun Fire Control technician, thumb on the trigger for a few thousand rounds of 5"/54 ordnance. I witnessed a massacre that I could not stop, was ordered to STFU and lived under death threats for my...
