News Worldwide impact of the novel coronavirus (covid-19)

I know a few people who have had the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. No side effects to report as of yet. Scotland has just announced a month long lockdown for the month of January. Boris Johnson is addressing the nation at 8pm tonight to announce further measures to combat the spread, looks...

News Worldwide impact of the novel coronavirus (covid-19)

England is moving to a tiered system tomorrow. Not much changes me for me aside from being able to get a haircut & go to the gym. My area has the highest level of restrictions. I am so thankful that I have been able to work throughout the pandemic. A lot haven't been as fortunate. There is...

    * I meant England. It's really unclear for you guys, PM saying one thing, ministers saying another. Don't know about where you are, but the tiers did more harm than good where I am.

News Worldwide impact of the novel coronavirus (covid-19)

Happy for you guys in Australia :) The UK is going back into lockdown on Thursday. I am not hopeful that things will get better anytime soon, our government is not dealing with the virus very well, to say the least.

News Worldwide impact of the novel coronavirus (covid-19)

Still in lockdown-lite here. My area could have the restrictions loosened soon, there is one area near me that is pretty badly affected & there are rumours that they will go into a more stringent lockdown. Pockets of people flaunting the rules, nothing of note near me, but there's definitely...

News Worldwide impact of the novel coronavirus (covid-19)

Where I live in the UK is currently in a local lockdown due to a rise in cases. We can't have people round to our houses or socialise with them at restaurants/ pubs, but we can met people in outdoor spaces like the park. My area specifically only has 4 cases per 100,000, but other areas in the...

News Events around the George Floyd protests and riots, US and beyond

Followed this story with interest over the past week. Been on social media a lot & I'm shocked at how overtly racist some people I know are. It's one thing to have subconscious biases based on lived experience (which we all have), it's another to put profanity laden rants on the internet...

    Black and white thinking

This is a struggle for me. I tend to be extreme in my thinking. It's helped me in recovery from addiction, as I know I cannot gamble anymore & I stick to it. In day to day life, however, it has caused me problems. A good example of this is: 'Don't come on myptsd at all & deactivate my...

    Did 10k

I’ve done karate, boxing & kickboxing mainly, but I’ve also done some Muay Thai, Eskrima & a little BJJ. I would go back & do BJJ if I was to go & do it. How about you?

Thanks guys ? I think it’s to do it in under 45.. or to do a half marathon, can’t decide. Done a lot of martial arts over the years, I’m enjoying doing something different right now, but I do feel the itch to get back out there.
