@Solara Thank you, that may be exactly what it is I'm seeing. The severity of the situation and how little seems to have been done over the last six months is upsetting to me.
I believe in a higher power, and I believe things happen for a reason. Whether you can suddenly see him on Facebook is so you can ask him this question or block him yourself is up to you.
My suggestion would be to talk it over with your therapist first. I would write down all his possible...
@Determinedone you'll note I stated that I might be wrong and asked forgiveness if I was. However you're in a forum of people with PTSD and that leaves some of us mistrusting. Given things at face value, I stated what it looks like to me. It was not meant to be an attack an I sincerely apologize...
You say you've been posting updates here for the last six months about your husband. I went and read them because I was concerned and wanted a better understanding and was hoping to learn if he's been in therapy of any kind. However, all your posts are almost identical in nature. Most of the...
Amen, Sister! We live near two Marine Corps bases and while we're closer to the one that doesn't send out troops so we don't hear a lot of the Vets coming home, it trickles down from the neighboring town. A friend of mine was going through trying to get her disability benefits from the VA when...
I'm with @scout86 If they ever catch up, I'll be shocked. My uncle is a disabled Veteran. I think the only person that gets angrier than I do when talking about the VA is Jon Stewart. At least he can do it on a larger platform.
I'm sorry you're dealing with this. It's wrong. In so many ways...
I was waiting for the end of your other post as well. I'm with @Eleanor on therapy. You haven't said if he's in it or not. Or if you are. It sounds like family as well as individual therapy would be helpful to all of you. If he's not in it, I would see about getting him some as soon as you can...
The situation doesn't change the meaning of the words. I don't believe he was "admitting" to anything. I think it was a statement of frustration, possibly self hatred. One doesn't typically say something like that from a healthy mindset.
You said to him essentialy, "I love you, but finally you...
@MCT91 No one "likes" to go back to counseling ;) but sometimes we need to. What's that saying? Pride goeth before the fall. There's no shame in asking for help, especially when you're seeking to better the relationship with the woman you love. So just put that right outta your head!
This concerns me more than anything else you wrote. I can't speak as someone who has war induced PTSD, but from a different form. I know when I say things like that, like "I'm broken" or "my brain is effed up" I'm coming from a place of anger and self-loathing. Not from a place of health and...
@MCT91 @Solara was telling you many of the same things I was, just in a better way it seems. I'm on day 7 of a migraine and it's just dipped below a 9 on the pain scale so I probably wasn't as clear as I'd hoped to be.
The seizures could be psychosomatic from trauma. A friend of ours has just...
@Chava Many pain management docs require therapy as part of treatment, at least initially. They usually have someone on staff you see occasionally just to make sure you're doing okay. The therapist will give you ways to cope with chronic pain and living with it every day. It's very stressful so...
