    Ptsd From Car Accidents

My PTSD came from a car-related incident but not an accident. A car driver deliberately drove at me, up a kerb and over a path and, luckily for me, must have changed his mind at the last minute otherwise I was being run into a house!! He's now in prison and has a 2 year driving ban and I...

Am Getting More Anxious As Time Goes On

I'm trying to be positive about my PTSD but I'm feeling I'm actually getting more anxious as times go by. A violent incident in May was the start of things for me and although I've been seeing a counsellor it's not really helping that much. I am sleeping better and also my concentration is...

    Nhs Quit Smoking Group

Well done Jest! I'd recommend keeping the patches on actually. Give the inhalator a bit of time - it works believe me! No it doesn't look or feel like a ciggy but it's not supposed to. It's something to fiddle with and once you get the hang, just the sucking on it is calming. Keep posting.

    Weight Issues

    Nhs Quit Smoking Group

Hello Jestadud. Hope you're feeling brighter now. I smoked all my adult life and quit nearly 7 years ago. I used NHS Smoking Cessation advisor at our local surgery and she prescribed patches & inhalator and I never looked back. I am sure you will be too! It truly is marvellous how...

    Weight Issues

Hi Sazza - I only joined a few mins ago but I sypathise with you! I have put on about a stone in the past 2 months (when I got PTSD) because I am hardly going out now and miss my brisk walks and cycle rides. A couple of friends have walked with me a few times but I need to get back to walking...

    Just Arrived!

Hi - first time on here. Following a very traumatic road rage incident which happened nearly 2 months ago, I have PTSD apparently. I have yet to see a counsellor but have been prescribed some pills for "anxiety". I was loathe to take them because I only ever take a paracetemol on the rare...
