If you really look around there’s always so much to see. Maybe I have my head in the clouds too much, that’s why I love birds...?

This little guy is a Spotted Tussock Moth Caterpiller. Very cute, but don’t touch as the little hairs on them can cause some nasty reactions.

These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago. Momma started 11 nests under our deck. She’s in the first picture. She even built a huge one which was kind of funny as it was way to big for her. She eventually built a smaller nest next to it and had 4 babies. They’ve all grown and left. The neat...

This was taken at our old family cabin built in 1955. As you can see the dogs pretty much have free reign. I think the conversation between the dogs went something like this. “There’s that squirrel Stanley. When I give the word we rush him” ?

So we finally have a break in the weather and I'm out with the camera. At first I figured this was an Golden Eagle as he was way up there and hard to see. It was only when I loaded the photos on my computer that I realized it's a Turkey Vulture or Turkey Buzzard (my telephoto lens is way better...

So the raven that I took a picture of awhile back of has decided this is a good tree. Much to the chagrin of my dog. I think she wants to be able to fly so she can herd him....lol.
