I was looking at FBI records for shooting deaths in the USA from 2011 to 2014 and also looked at numbers thru fact check. There has been a steady decline in deaths, granted the numbers still too high. Gun deaths have declined each year from at least 2010. Although more guns, less gun death...
@joeylittle,
I have in fact been shooting for close to 10 years at a range at least 10xper year, before I even applied for a concealed carry license. I had to take an 8 hour class and pass a shooting ability test to qualify. Not only am I competent with a handgun, I am also fairly accurate...
@Changeling
Ok I'll join in on topic.
I agree that no one convicted of misdemeanor DV or felony DV should have right to purchase any firearm. I do believe there should be rules as to who can purchase and stricter background checks if necessary.
My personal experiences re: DV and MY right...
I would have liked to express my personal reasons for my support of 2nd Amendment in civil discussion but as a Texan, I've already been stereotyped. I do support all rights granted to me by my Constitution including our Bill of Rights. Each side has their own "facts", there own agenda's...
@honeypie058,
You are most certainly not mad... it's the trauma/ptsd. I deal with similar issues when having any type of procedure. Because of my spine issues, I go for injections and each time I do my anxiety level is very high. My BP is very high, like stroke numbers. For me it seems to...

Discord, I am fairly new to my own diagnosis of cptsd so I have no answers as to what yours may be.
I just wanted to comment on your post. It seems you've been through a traumatic life so far and I can understand your brain turning off certain emotions. It's survival, self preservation! I...

Mary1979,
Oh how I can relate to your experiences. First I'd like to say I'm not a medical professional, but your symptoms do not sound like anxiety to me! There is something going on. I can relate to not being taken seriously though. I recently went to my local e.r. because I was having...
Hi @I_Am_Titanium - Yes, I feel the way you do regarding having to remind myself that the abuse was real. The way I see it is we were conditioned to view abuse as "normal". You said that you were emotionally abused for 30 yrs… that's a long time. Our brains normalize the things we're...
Hello to everyone,
If I've written anything that triggers another, I'm sorry in advance.
I've been diagnosed with CPTSD. I'm currently having a difficult time with flashbacks, panic attacks. I have so many triggers that sometimes I'm shocked.
I was born to young parents who were not ready to...
