General Menopause And Ptsd Dont Mix

Truely, I feel for any woman that has menopause and ptsd. My wife is 42 years old and was forced into menopase last year due to chemo therapy. With ptsd looming in the forefront, I have an all new respect for those who can deal with their symptoms without harming anyone in the meantime. Hugs to all.

General The Encouragement Reminder For Supporters

What about be person who doesn't think there is a problem. But then yet there is the dissociation, restless sleep, nightmares, anger, triggered conversations. I dont mind getting help for myself but I think it would help if the sufferer was there to explain which would help overcome those...

Relationship Am I Not Supposed To Argue?

Last night I stayed in my bedroom to exercise and listen to some music since I still remained shut out. My wife twice last night came up stairs to confront me and a few things. I kindly asked her to leave and I didn't want to argue this evening. That seemed to upset her since I would not respond...

Relationship Am I Not Supposed To Argue?

I am glad you are both able to talk during your downtime times. I wish I could understand her feelings more so I could be a better provider to her needs.

Relationship Am I Not Supposed To Argue?

@gtpgurl - the feelings you get. Does your supporter know who you feel. I have never heard from my wife how she is feeling, nor does she share where she is at. The thing I see and feel is anger and dissociation which is apparent. You your feelings masked with other emotions that might be hard to...

Relationship Am I Not Supposed To Argue?

Is it possible that no matter how a supporter tries to communicate, just the fact that there is a confrontation or an opposition involved could be enough to cause them to go into their shell. I have tried the soft low voiced conversation and it ended up with the same outcome.

General My Sufferer Broke Up With Me But Still Has Lots Of Contact.

@libbylouise27 - It all started out with getting blamed for things I did 10 plus years ago. I was blamed for not finding her lump before she detected it which led to breast cancer. She is a survivor now and things seem to be improving for her in that area. Her brain seemed to have just turned...

General My Sufferer Broke Up With Me But Still Has Lots Of Contact.

I understand what you are going through. I have been 5 months into this new way of living. My wife has not been treated for anything ptsd related. She feels that it is all me that is wrong with our marriage. She just bought an Apple tablet and that is all she does is use that and tune everybody...

Supporter Husband Of Wife With Ptsd

@mywifestrigger - I agree with you. I am going to call my attorney and make sure that I am doing the right thing. Almost all our money is used for our family expenses only. I rarely buy items other than a coffee for myself. Money goes to utilities. I am blessed to say that when I was 39 years...

Supporter Husband Of Wife With Ptsd

Just an update for my situation: Last night I "tried" to ask my wife to not keep spending our money on clothing and other non-important related purchases until I got paid again next week. She refuses to stop her habits and I had to put "our" money into a private account in order to get some...

    Supporter Husband Of Ptsd Wife

I agree and I may be one of them. I had passion which seemed to fall away when I was getting pushed away from my wife. I do not have the anger...but frustration seems to be where I am at. I cannot understand how some one can be so mean, but then yet say they have this compassion, asking for...

Has A Supporter Ever Regained Your Trust Once You'd Decided It Was Gone?

I am going to approach your question from a different angle which might not be popular with some of you. From a spiritual perspective, I have seen God work in the my marriage over the past few months like never before. I have a wife who was so determined to get a divorce after 21 years. A...

    Supporter Husband Of Ptsd Wife

Good News, You are not the only one suffering from the isolation or lack of love. I am 5 months into this nightmare of a marriage since my wife decided to just give up and go into her shell and shut out most everyone who matters to her. This is my two cents worth that has helped me so far. 1...

Supporter Husband Of Wife With Ptsd

I would have to agree with you on that. Last night and this morning had been quiet and peaceful in our house. Of course that included the wife sitting in the corner of the house reading with ear buds in her ears, daughter upstairs doing homework and me sitting in the kitchen reading this forum...

Relationship Need Advice On How To Support My Boyfriend Who Has Ptsd

As a supporter that is currently married and will not consider a divorce. I find it such a challenge to want to stay married. It is not because I am selfish and expect a certain lifestyle. Supporter Husband Of Wife With Ptsd

@mywifestrigger - that peaceful feeling has been stomped on. Just this morning 7:20 AM est. - I was greeted outside from my wife while I was unthawing and heating up my car since it is brutally cold where I live. She was asking me where my SI Swimsuit issue was...she wanted to see it. I had it...

General Does Ptsd Dissasociate Someone Enough To Cheat?

I think at this time those feelings and heightened decisions have been put on the back burner. My wife wants to remain married and I think she is slowly realizing that having an affair would destroy our family. But, on the other hand she has taken off for the weekend and I do not know where she...
