Even the title of the thread struck a chord. Not a day goes by that I don't feel a sense of loss in my life for what PTSD, and the people who caused it, took from me.

It used to be almost impossible. While in psyche hospitals and rehabs, counselors and psychiatrists would try to get me to talk about events from childhood. I would get shaky, dry mouth, teary eyed, wobbly kneed, and so they would always make me stop.

I have not had any symptoms of PTSD since about April of 2004. Prior to that it was kicking my ass, there were no good days, and I doubt I was long for this world. Since April 2004, I've continually matured emotionally and sociallly, and I feel as though I get stronger each year.

It reminds me of an old saying; It is easier to act your way into a new way of thinking, than to think your way into a new way of acting.
