Supporter New to ptsd, boyfriend doesn’t feel love, please help.

I still fail to understand if he has GAD or PTSD..? Those things are not the same.. Seing it as you're swedish.. Was it vuxenpsykiatrin that labled it PTSD? If you want to help him, you have to understand the root of his PTSD, like everyone else before me has said.

Relationship Best guy i ever met-shut me out

It's like I wrote in another thread a day or two ago.. You need to be very clear about some things.. We struggle a lot, from one second to another we can be fine, then in hell only to go back to being fine the second after that. You need to be willing to help, understand, give help and give...

Getting worse again, what to do?

Ehmmm.... I mean, it's your version of it, I suppose, but you don't really chew snus. You form it into a small ball then place it under your lip, above the teeth, then it just stays there. The wound grows into a hole so the ball actually stays in there and doesn't move around. It's a lot like...

Getting worse again, what to do?

Snus is a super strong form of tobacco mixed with acids that you put in your mouth. It burns a hole in your upper jaw with a permanent wound, making the nicotine go straight into your bloodstream. Weak snus is equal to about 10 cigarettes meanwhile some of the stronger ones can be up to 25 or...

Getting worse again, what to do?

What do you normally do on your spare time and to let stress and anger out? Perhaps if we know that we might be able to give you better tips? And I suppose that's easier to say in english as that's actually in the english language, but I mean.. snus is.. snus. It's just a scandinavian thing...

Getting worse again, what to do?

Sitter med en fet grov lös i munnen just nu! And moderators, I'm truly sorry but there's seriously no way to say that in english. "Sitting with a fat thick lose in the mouth right now!"

Getting worse again, what to do?

Phf, never.. never.. happened to me.. I.. I don't know.. what you're talking about.. Something that helps me a lot that is more on the physical side is actually longboarding. Don't know if where you live allows that however, roads have to be quite good for it to be enjoyable. Riding your...

    Feeling non-human

I hope this is not out of line at all AnD and I hope you don't mind me asking.. But.. What's your age? If you don't wish to answer, just don't and forget I asked the question. And I'll be honest, I wish I could be that open and honest with my therapist when I had one.. I do not have the courage...

Getting worse again, what to do?

Honestly, one thing that works extreamly good for me is video games. Given it a try? And do note, it's not a long term solution, it's pretty much the definition of a short term solution.

I took one of your posts as me being unclear with the part where I labled abusers the "unnormal" people.

Sufferer Forgot the parachute..? childhood trauma & national guard.

Never really thought of being a firefighter, paramedic or police officer. The thing with the military is the freedom, believe it or not, there's a lot of it in the military. You're outdoors, you hike, you shoot fun weapons, you're with likeminded people, you're all trying to serve a greater...

    Feeling non-human

I do feel like that, but.. I wouldn't say that we're aliens, not at all, we are diffrent because we've got more life experience that most people. And when it comes to mimicking, I do that too. We all want to be "normal" but we fail to realize there's no such thing as "normal". We're the way we...

Sufferer Forgot the parachute..? childhood trauma & national guard.

I don't want to sound like a ungreatful moron, but it's not any good support. I get told to "get some sleep" or "try and think happy thoughts". I'm guessing you can agree that's not quite how things work. I've tried telling them, explaining how it is, I've even asked my best friend to read...

Sufferer Forgot the parachute..? childhood trauma & national guard.

Lössnus is the best snus! I understand why they would deny someone with CPTSD, it is a risk. I do however not understand why my experience in the national guard didn't back me up. But in the end, why don't I move on? Get another job and be happy with what I've got.

Sufferer Forgot the parachute..? childhood trauma & national guard.

I was severely neglected and abused, mentally and physically as a child. At the age of 15 I was placed in a phostercare after my mother tried to end my life. I got diagnosed with CPTSD shortly after. I never thought about it much. I've got a thick head and strong willpower, at least so I...
