    Lucy, The person who committed suicide likely had PTSD from time spent in prison. They spent time in prison and did not receive PTSD counseling after release because therapy is currently not required. I guess I did not make myself clear.

    I lost someone to suicide who was incarcerated for a non-violent crime. I believe that time in Prison led my loved one to suffer from PTSD and I am hopeful that there are others out there willing to share their stories. I believe that parolees should be screened for PTSD and counseled upon release.
