For the last three years I've had my phone on permanent silent mode. That way I can look at it when I choose to. Try that for a few days if you like...It's REALLY worked for me.

For me it seems to start with one intruding memory, or something in my every day experience that reminds me of the event(s). It very quickly becomes a full-system reaction. This is what I'm working on right now, preventing these tiny seeds.
