I am so sorry you are experiencing all this! I have personally often thought I was totally losing it and insane! It is so scary. One of the biggest components of PTSD is reliving trauma and the inability to differentiate then and now.I hope that you get the help you need in caring for yourself,

The place I went had a list of accepted things, but I still did not get it. When I went in they searched my bags in front of me and held those things not allowed.

Wow...I have never heard of that. Maybe a good thing thing for someone to see you in your environment? or does that seem invasive? Hope it is a good thing.
I struggled when I first started DBT, but in the end has been one of the best things ever...has given me the best coping skills. One thing that helped a bit for me was to have a DBT coach to meet with individually....helped diffuse the intensity of the group. Best wishes!
Great job speaking up here. I think for me I got to the point I was unsuccessful at attempts so decided to try a different route and was also sent to residential treatment for 4 months where I actually had support and there was someone there. Not sure the is a great answer, but it is honest.
