My mom had borderline personality disorder (probably as a result of being raised by my narc grandma) and was physically and emotionally abusive. Sometimes she was sexually inappropriate, but not in the typical kinda way.
She was also an alcoholic and even stole my money for booze and stuff...
I thought for years that my mom had NPD because I could relate to a lot of stories about narcissistic mothers. She really had borderline as a result of being raised by my narcissistic grandma (plus living with my druggie teen mom aunt). I hadn't even heard of it until she killed herself. Might...
People love to show their true opinion of others after learning about their trauma/PTSD.... :( Is it possible to contact the news websites and have your story taken down or made anonymous?
Changing your name isn't too expensive. If it makes you feel better, then do it. Heck, you can even do it...
Khan Academy is a really good starting point for making webpages and programming with Javascript. Their videos/guides are always up to date and can be even used on phones (at least on mine). Apress and O'Reilly's books are good too, but a lot more in depth and kinda complicated at times. Oh, and...
Yup! I know my other doctors' families pretty well, but I think the nurse practitioner just didn't know what to do with trauma related stuff. I hardly do myself! :p
Agreed! From what I've read on here, it seems like doses over 4MG are pretty much unheard of. I wasn't abusing it, but I was physically dependent on it and had withdrawal symptoms for quite a few weeks. I originally saw a nurse practitioner who specialized in child psychiatry, so maybe that's...
Knew I had to do something... I stayed up for three days straight and ended up hallucinating from it. :yuck: Trying to stay as far away from benzos as I can... I was taking 8mg of Xanax and 10mg of Ambien together everyday and I think it fried my brain a little. It's been nearly two years since...
I can't post links yet, but there's an article on Medium called "The Best-Selling, Billion-Dollar Pills Tested on Homeless People" and another on Forbes called "Why Synthetic Marijuana Is More Toxic To The Brain Than Pot" that'll show up when googled. They are much more potent than even pure THC...
That makes sense. I know that pregnancy makes your estrogen levels really high. I think my mom developed peri symptoms when she was 40. My grandma on my dad's side didn't go through an early menopause, but she definitely had fertility issues. Fortunately, soy and flaxseed products seem to help...
My FSH came back on the higher end, so that's why my doctor thinks POF as opposed to a temporary hormone imbalance. I guess I'll just have to wait another six months without an accident until I'm considered fully menopausal and we'll see what happens.
I am sixteen. I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2014 after my mom died and my periods got really wacky from there. I've only had two accidents since then. My doctor said that she's seen POF in some girls my age, and she's not really sure why.
Just had my hormones tested after experiencing a variety of menopause like symptoms in the past two years. My hormones were basically in the same range as a postmenopausal woman. My doctor thinks that my ovaries gave up on themselves as a result of being so stressed out, possibly being poisoned...
Drug companies test their products on homeless people pretty often, so this doesn't surprise me.
Also, they should know that synthetic cannabinoids can kill people (if they don't already :O_o:).
It's definitely possible for meds to make you feel worse. I was on thirteen (or is that fourteen?) medications at one point and they didn't make me feel better one bit.
My mom had BPD as well. If you feel like there's something vaguely wrong that you can't exactly describe, then think you should definitely bring it up with your therapist. It could be a dissociation type of thing or maybe something that happened early in life. You have the right to feel the way...
@NoWhereKnowWhere Thank you.
@lostforgottensoul I live in Colorado. I can't link to it here, but their government website has an article on final pay. It's six hours for those who manage payment on site, or twenty-four hours for those who don't. I wasn't sure where they did their financial...
