Advice For Learning Computer Programming And Networking

I'm trying to learn enough computer programming and networking on my own online to decide whether or not it's for me. I have no experience in the area. I'm in law school now but a personality profile I took at the school said I should be working in computer science instead, which I have never studied. I think it would be useful for me to learn whether or not I stay in law and I like that it could open up a possible way for me to support myself. That could be very helpful if I start to find law too triggering. I would appreciate any advice on how to experiment on this from home while I'm still in school. Thanks

When I was 52 I got my first computer it had Windows XP on it, and there was a Help section and an AtoZ guide, that you could get through the Start key.

I spent many hours on that learning all the stuff I wanted to know, the A to Z was a fantastic help as well. Then I found that "Computeractive" web site, where you could ask questions, and learn a lot from other folks questions and answers.

I'm still learning, as technology is improving all the time now, half the stuff I learned back then is obsolete now.

I've noticed that Windows 10 doesn't have that "help section" on the start menu now?

Khan Academy is a really good starting point for making webpages and programming with Javascript. Their videos/guides are always up to date and can be even used on phones (at least on mine). Apress and O'Reilly's books are good too, but a lot more in depth and kinda complicated at times. Oh, and Photoshop is really fun and definitely worth learning if you plan on going into that field. ;)

I second Khan Academy. Also would recommend Code Academy and W2 Schools.
