Hi Wonder Woman.
My own trauma was a result of 32 years as a firefighter. And it wasn’t until I retired that the world caved in on me. The nightmares and the flashbacks became debilitating to the point that I was about done. Finding a psychologist that I fully trusted was the first step. But it...
I think I need to dream of warmer places as well. Just as our snow was getting close to melting we got this last night. ?
‘I couldn’t get a very good shot of the Raven as I was shooting through the window. And my hands aren’t as steady as they used to be.....lol.
Well this is a great day. With everything going on our little mountain bluebirds have returned. A sure sign that spring is just around the corner. Now if we could just lose this snow. :)
I was out driving when I saw this big fella sitting on the power pole. I would have liked to get him flying as well but he was enjoying the sun I think.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Glad to see everyone has some great pictures. I was at an event called Skijore where people are pulled on skis by horses. It’s all about fun and wild fashion. It was such a good time and took over 900 shots. These are a few of those pics. The first couple I...
When I was first diagnosed with PTSD I was pretty much a huge wreck. But after years of going to my psychologist I think I’m doing pretty good. Sessions are farther and farther apart which is a good thing. I still have nightmares and I still get flashbacks, just not as bad as I used to or as...
This is a grouse or fool hen as we like to call them up here. You can walk right up to them before they fly away, hence the name. In the winter sometimes they will fly through the air and then plunge into the snow, push through underneath and then pop up. You can just see the first hole at the...
This is from last summer. When I first saw this little guy he was facing me and I just thought it was a gopher. But when he turned I realized its a 13 lined ground squirrel. Not very common around our place so it was nice to get some photos of him.
Today was a little different as I hardly shoot indoors. More of an exercise in different camera setting than I'm used to. This was from a car museum that I visit every couple of years or so.
I just love this car and the color. It's a 1931 Cord,
Went out yesterday to take advantage of some nice weather. This is about an hours drive from my place. I was hoping for way more ice buildup as it has been so cold lately. But I'll take these views any day.
My wife and I were camping around Lake Mead and came across this Dinosaur just coming out of his lair. It’s really hard to photograph these things out in the wild as they’re really good at hiding......?
This is a picture that is incredibly special to me. We were on a training exercise doing a simulated tanker fire. The drill is to approach the fire with two lines set in a fog pattern to protect us from the incredible heat. When we got close enough the "team lead" in the middle (which is me)...
Let’s go with a bird on the other end of the food chain today. :)
This big guy was fishing when I happened to see him last summer. He didn’t really pay much attention to me as he was focused on all the small salmon around.
Its a male Mountain Bluebird. I’ve built a number of birdhouses for them to use in the spring. As a result we get quite a few during nesting season. Here’s a couple more.
