So it’s almost minus 30 (Celsius) outside right now and rather depressing. So to make me feel better I found another nice picture of a bluebird in my files.

We have a bunch of feral cats at our place as well. As soon as they see you they run for the hills.

Self care but how?!?!? What do you do after therapy to not feel so... crummy?

Therapy days have always been a huge anxiety overload for me. Knowing that I was going to talk about stuff that I didn’t want to hear myself, let alone burden someone else with. So I tried to think of something that I really liked. For me it was A & W fast food. We live out in the country so I...

Merry Christmas all. For those of you who don't have snow here you go. And yes he's not the Bluebird of Happiness but this Hairy Woodpecker will have to do. :) Take care everyone.

It's always nice to see animals like this around our place. I took this a couple of years ago.

do most people who have ptsd wake themselves up screaming?

I don’t wake up screaming, I wake up in a blind panic thinking that someone is in the house. Then my adrenaline kicks in and I go into fight mode. I hate it because it takes me hours to relax enough to go back to sleep.

This is a combination sun dog and sun halo. They're formed due to ice crystals in the air.

Well I have to admit I cheated a bit on these photos, All of these 3 came up to the house today and I literally opened the window and took the pictures. But I'm not complaining. The flicker was nice as you don't get to see their nice tail feathers underneath very often. And I didn't notice the...

I love taking pictures but what I really enjoy is going back through the files and looking at the older ones. When I’m having a bad day they really lift my spirits. Onscreen therapy......?

I like to call myself an enthusiastic amateur but I do have a good camera. Plus I bought a pretty good zoom lens (100-400) a couple of years back so I could get better pictures of the animals I saw. Beautiful picture by the way, great large depth of field. I wish we had weather like that up...

Therapists - What has been your therapist experience?

My first attempt at therapy really didn’t go very well at all. I didn’t have much of a connection with her and as a result I didn’t go into any depth as to what was really bothering me. I figured if I just sort of hit the highlights everything would work out. After 6 months I lied and said I was...

A couple of pictures from this morning. The first is a Flicker which is a type of woodpecker and the second is a bull moose that I took just down the hill from our place. He was nice enough to stand and pose for me. Although I stayed plenty far back as these guys are so big they can move way...

This is Antelope Canyon in Arizona. The canyon was carved by water over hundreds of years to make these incredible shapes in the walls. At some points you’re down around 100 ft and just wide enough for 1 person to walk through. The eagle The lady with long hair My favourite shot Exiting...

Flying to the coast yesterday to attend my nieces wedding. I took this with my iPad so not the best picture. The snow on the mountains was incredibly white with a stunning blue sky. I love flying.

    I hate the holidays

I hate Christmas too. But I’m hoping that one day I can enjoy this season again. I’m hoping that one day I’ll stop having flashbacks of dead people with family and presents in the background. I’m hoping I’ll stop seeing people I’ve extricated from cars as they’ve bled out knowing Christmas was...

This is a bit different pic so I’ll explain. Those of you that live in the country might have seen something like this but a lot of people never have. The tracks on the left are those of a marten who was running around on the snow at night. The big marks are made by an owl as he swooped in and...
