Nothing Good To Move On To

@sunseeker You are not blessed when your life, under certain circumstance, is destroyed and you permanently have nothing to move on to.

Nothing Good To Move On To

@Lemontree In general, what you say is true, but my specific circumstance has made it so that I can never move on to anything, I do not wish to go into the details but my life is permanently over.

Nothing Good To Move On To

@Solara You have a simplistic point of view. Life can be more complicated than that. I have a lot of barriers in my life, barriers that I am not responsible for creating. My life is raped and destroyed, it is not a construct of my own doing, so you are wrong.

Nothing Good To Move On To

A lot of people that recover from PTSD or depression, usually do so by moving on to something good in their lives. An example is finding love. If you have nothing good to move on to with your life, you will never get better, only worse. I speak from experience. Sure you can swallow a tablet or...

    Life Circumstance Or Chemical Imbalance?

@scout86 "But dealing with things without medication isn't necessarily easy, at least not in the short term and I'm sure it won't work for everyone" I have tried anti-depressants and am still taking them but they do nothing to rectify the reality, therefore the trauma and depression remains.

    Life Circumstance Or Chemical Imbalance?

I am not against medications, medications play an important role in the area of mental health where the underlying cause is a chemical imbalance and requires medicinal adjustment. I meet these types of people on the forum all the time, they have normal great lives and for no reason they are...

    Life Circumstance Or Chemical Imbalance?

Have you asked these health professionals this same question? No, I think it would be a waste of time to ask because in my experience they treat and view chemical imbalances and life circumstances as the same thing.

    Life Circumstance Or Chemical Imbalance?

When your trauma and depression is caused by life circumstance, why do health professionals prescribe anti-depressants? Is it an attempt to escape reality instead of facing it? I have tried anti-depressants and they do nothing to rectify the reality, therefore the trauma and depression remains.

    Nervous Breakdown

I would like to thank everyone for sharing their experience and insight on my post. Everyday is a struggle, and I hope a miracle happens to make it go away.

    Nervous Breakdown

Thanks for reading, I hope you learn something or share your experience or ideas. In most people's life, there is a balance of both good and bad things that happen to them, but happens when there is no balance and only bad things happen? Nervous breakdown is what happens, where you reach your...

Other Agoraphobia -- exposure doesn't help

Exposure therapy seems to be a contradiction, the more I see, the more I am ill. Time heals nothing. My agoraphobia progressively got worse due to exposure. I can't handle or cope with the emotional pain of triggers.

    Loneliness

Loneliness intensifies the symptoms of PTSD and depression. Loneliness on its own is terrible, let alone combining it with trauma or depression. I know I am much worse off because I am a loner.

    Can't Study

I think your studying problem may be due to not being in the present moment. With my hell, 99% of the present belongs to the trauma and depression, and only the remaining 1% is available to concentrate. I have concentration problems from my PTSD and I can relate to your statement: "but nothing...

    Waking Up With Trauma Shock

@FridayJones You have the capacity to work? Wow! I am so sick I stare at the wall all day and night. My PTSD progressively led to a nervous breakdown where I am contemplating on living in a mental hospital for the rest of my life so I can sleep all day.

    Waking Up With Trauma Shock

Greetings fellow PTSD sufferers, is there a technical term for not having consistent sleep, but constantly waking up early with fear, anxiety and shock of your trauma? I keep waking every couple of hours and the cycle repeats its self, making it impossible to get a good nights sleep. I often...

Being Alone Intensifies Symptoms Of Ptsd

@VioletButterfly I agree, being alone does make the mind dwell on the trauma leading to a downward spiral of decay and depression. I try to distract my mind with hobbies, but it is a short lived attempt, the trauma and depression always reclaims me. The momentum of positive thinking does not...

Being Alone Intensifies Symptoms Of Ptsd

@Gaara Thanks for your kind words, I appreciate it. Loneliness on its own it just as painful as PTSD or depression.

Being Alone Intensifies Symptoms Of Ptsd

I am a loner, and I must say it makes dealing with trauma and depression much harder. The loneliness truly magnifies the intensity of the symptoms. I am isolated and wish I had someone to talk to. Being lonely on it's own is a very negative emotion, let alone combining it with PTSD and depression.

Sufferer Hello To All Forum Members

Thanks for your kind words, I hope one day I am better, but my trauma is so bad, I don't logically see how I can improve. I can not see a proverbial tunnel at all, only a proverbial death.
