Understand AI use at MyPTSD: all AI use is explained in our AI help page. AI use is by choice here. It exists if you want it, but does nothing unless you choose to use it.
When you can't leave your house, when you don't trust anyone.
When people start telling you they're really worried and think you need help.
When you caan't face the day.
When you know the hospital physic number by heart.
I definitely like the "going to the grocery store is an adventure" comment. I went the other day and only came home with half the items on the list + an anxiety attack (which wasn't on the list).
Stopping to think and forgetting to start again also got a chuckle.
For me, I knew I had PTSD when I finally admitted it to myself. (not as humorous I know, but I think it is appropriate)
I'll try and lighten the mood again with a couple. You know you have PTSD when...
- You've run a marathon without leaving the house.
- Your nickname is "Trigger" and you're not in the NRA (National Rifle Association)
You either don't sleep enough,
Or too much!
You don't eat enough,
Or too much?
You realise that you have to struggle with this fkd up condition.
And wish you could be 'normal' WTF
...when driving at night, you see your own reflection in the side window out of the corner of your eye and startle out of your skin thinking there is someone out there. Stupid brain doesn't recognize that there isn't someone running beside a vehicle traveling at 65 mph. You feel ridiculous that you are in fact afraid of your own reflection.
