I Hope This Is The Right Place. I Really Need Support.

Thanks so much to everyone that responded. Since this message I have taken additional measures. I don't want to post them - just in case, but they make me feel better. I'm not giving up until I can literally rest. It has come to my attention in the past few days that I deserve a calm, quiet life...

Thanks, Bear. :) Yes. Everyone in the building knows. 2 in particular on the watch - 1 is my next door neighbor. I then told the people next door who live in a house next to our building.

I Hope This Is The Right Place. I Really Need Support.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. I have a dog. She is big but a big sack of love. She wants to play with and lick everyone. She is alert but not an attacker.I am looking at getting a taser. I do not have the money to install and rent a security system. I also do not have internet at home...

I Hope This Is The Right Place. I Really Need Support.

Hi. I am new here. I posted a few weeks ago. :) I hope this is the right place to share as my PTSD is being re-activated due to current events. I was stalked in Nov my a property employee and immediately moved. Once I was settled and in my new place I started gaining my confidence back. I'm...

    Fibro Fibromyalgia and ptsd

I have gone through that before although not as extreme. I'm so sorry. I can identify with feeling like crap and not being able to do much. I have fibro, too.

Fibro Chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia

Hi. I'm new here. I just posted a thread about Fibro and PTSD but did it in the wrong area. Glad I found this one. :) It is likely I had fibro as a kid or young teen. Maybe CFS too but I haven't officially been diagnosed with that. Who cares, though. Lol. I'm exhausted 50% of the time...

    Fibro Fibromyalgia and ptsd

I'm probably not the first poster for this but I'm new here... Anyone else out there suffer from fibromyalgia? Since I started recovery 4 years ago I have gone through many bouts and over time it has gotten better. However, I still have flare-ups. Just curious what other people's experiences...

    General Looking For Triggers

I found the more "work" I did toward healing, the more I found my triggers. In other words, the easier they were to identify for me. I also found when I started the healing process, my triggers were almost daily. Triggers aren't always traumatic. And (for me) the "big" ones took quite some time...

    Hi

I am really impressed with this community so far. Normally when you join a board it takes some time for people to respond. At least that has been my experience. This is nice. Funny joining a gym/exercise is mentioned. My bf gently suggested me joining a gym to help release my anxiety. I...

General Should A Ptsd Sufferer Have Children, Or Is This A Bad Idea?

Wow. Great topic/question. I suppose it is only up to the couple and if it is the right choice for them. But here is my perspective: I personally do not want children (one reason of many) because I doubt my inability to care for them when I experience symptoms. I can't imagine my life being...

    Hi

Thanks, KP for sharing. I like to keep my schedules open and clear, too. It def helps when processing. I'm very grateful for people who comment here. I don't feel so alone. I do have friends that suffer from PTSD but we can't always talk to each other all the time, ya know? It's good to branch...

    Hi

Wow. Thanks so much everyone for the welcome message. And for just checking on me...a complete stranger. Yesterday went well. She seems very nice and we have a goal for the next few weeks. I shared with my bf after and he was very sweet and just heard me until I was done. I cried a good deal so...

    Hi

Hi. I'm new here. I found this site when I Googled "I shut-down when I'm overwhelmed". I really don't know where to turn today. I do have a pretty good support system but I still feel pretty overloaded. I also have an appt with a new therapist today. She sounds pretty nice. I hate that I have to...
