I've been thinking about this for a few days since I first read the thread. My own personal dx for the past three years has been Anxiety Disorder NOS. My therapist gave it to me after one intake session and that was that. We haven't actually ever discussed it, but it's on the receipts she gives...

I'm on a low dose of abilify (1mg/day - but I'm freakishly sensitive to meds. They were planning to go for 2mg, but then 1mg did the trick so we stuck with it). And I echo what has been said above! It has made many aspects of my life more manageable.

@TimeToHeal I can so relate to your desire to hurry it up! However, I have also found that when I've tried to push it has not gone well for me. It used to be that trauma came up maybe 1 time every 5-6 sessions. Then it was a noticeable shift to 1 in 3-4. And more recently it has been touched...

No matter what, you must go at your own pace! If disclosing certain things is too much, even in the aftermath, then I say allow yourself the option to not disclose. Or just disclose as much as feels comfortable... like, truly comfortable. I never would have thought it possible, until it happened...

Have you taken enough time/effort to care for yourself in the middle of this? It sounds like you are an incredible support to him, but I'm worried about you, too!! There is a lot of good feedback in this thread for you, but my overall concern is if you are getting what you need in your life...
