Watching my baby daddy whom I live with get so mad that when he decides to throw a man-fit and storms out, carelessly walks into a door frame. Slapstick gets me everytime.
"Hey man, just a suggestion. How bout you drill that one inch circular glory hole in the airport bathroom?. I'll grab you a coffee. See you in 2.5 minutes.".
Oh yeah. I'm on a whopping 400mg. I am bipolar, but much like you I have a genetic thing and I become so tolerant to meds that doses that actually work are toxic as hell so I seriously have no idea if that part of the diagnosis is right. Just be very careful when they start bumping your dose...
It is extremely hard to come off of. For me, it triggered mania. I decided to go on the extended release thinking that was it, but it got worse. Be careful and I hope it doesn't do to you what it did to me. Good luck!

Both my brother and I have to carry cookies or crackers around with us.. or else. I bawl over stuff that has nothing to do with me, and he pitches man-fits and gets thrown out of stores if we don't eat enough. Something about our brain chemistry goes nutso-attacko when deprived of nutrient...
I had a similar event happen last week. I asked my doctor if it were something to do with being manic or the like, but he told me something strange in return.
He said that a few others had come to him that were faithfully taking their meds (i.e. Effexor) but felt as if they had missed a dose...
lol. I tried putting a heating pad on it but then I warmed my eyeball instead and everything was blurry for 2 hours. I know. Brilliant! I'm gonna ask my pcp what he thinks.
Eye, you and me have a date with destiny...
