I honestly think the therapist part is bigger than the psychiatrist part although the friend part is very present as well. It's a strange situation.
The psychiatrist is on private practice.
Well, the relationship my wife has with her psychiatrist has taken another strange turn. Our daughter wanted to learn how to knit, so my wife learned knitting from her psychiatrist on a weekend so she could then teach our daughter. I don't know where they met to do this - the psychiatrist's...
I think you need to be 100% open and honest, with the realization that it could come back to bite you in the a$$: if you state any specifics or things you really need.
Yeah, there is not much you can do to change how he feels about sex. Be supportive and see that he gets proper treatment. You are doing light years more than an average wife would do for their husbands. The problem is you won't feel appreciated for those efforts. It's hard not to take it...
Your mediator should help guide this discussion. Maybe focus on the % of his salary and start with his base. Maybe your part of the overtime pay can be calculated after the fact on a rolling basis, perhaps quarterly.

It can be tough...
My wife (sufferer) has started to have pressured speech. It is strongly linked to bipolar disorder, but she doesn't have that. It is also linked to stimulant use, and she is on Ritalin. Idk. It's strange that it suddenly appeared.

The psychiatrist is female. I think they text about therapy and when my wife is struggling and not about scheduling appointments etc. I'm not sure. She will just say she texted her about things. She sees her weekly and also sees a therapist regularly.
Just curious if this is common or not. My wife seems a little too intertwined with her psychiatrist at times, and they text each other. This seems to be a little odd imo. I guess I can see email, but texting seems to be a little too much and maybe borders on being inappropriate. Thoughts?
