I'm unsure if anyone here has seen the British news over the last few days. That we had another fallen hero, I think the first out in Iraq in quite some time. Lance Corporal Scott Hetherington, from Greater Manchester, was serving with the 2nd Battalion Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment and I read...
This week I'd been struggling with my sufferer pushing me away, I had done a lot of reading!
I noticed Pattern.. each of us described all out relationships When we first met as 'the most incredible' 'soulmate' 'perfect' 'magical' relationship that we had ever experienced....
Which lead me to...

Hi guys.
So my partner who sufferers combat PTSD and desprssion has been going through a bit of a rough time lately. He's fallen off the wagon with seeing his T and isn't going to the gym (which usually makes a huge difference to his moods)
I suggested non directly about starting again.. or...
You are right. I am a little insecure in my relationship And I know that's where my problem starts and ends. (My insecurity isn't due to my partner, but past relationship)
Start with some mindfulness. Here is what you need to remind yourself she loves you, if she didn't she would let you know...
I can relate to this post sooooooo much!!!
I am very much an all or nothing person and for a while I didn't know if I could deal with it when my partner shut me out. I feel exactly how you do! I'm currently going through this with my vet. I promise you that by doing things for you ...
hey guys, Thank you for posting. I appreciate all replies. @Litha I found yours particularly helpful. I completely understand that we shouldn't get sucked in and focus on how to improve things but I just worry for our relationship.
Being completely honest I don't actually have any set...
Basically my vet has fell off the wagon,
Stopped seeing his T, stopped his regular exercise, suffering from low moods and is pretty stressed.. the usually snappy, moody and pushing me away!
He seems to be fine at putting the mask on to others on the outside.

Hey guys, was hoping someone can give me a bit of advice.

Just wondering is anyone in the position where their family or friends just don't understand how complex PTSD actually is.
I feel it so difficult to discuss how I'm feeling or issues with my vet to my friends or family without them saying "he's just being a brat" "are you going to allow him to...
@watundah thanks for your comments! It's so hard to know what the right thing to do is!!! Sometimes I feel like I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't. That's part of the learning process I guess! Just seem to face something different each week.. Once he came to bed I explained to him late...
@Silver thanks for the similar story to relate to!! .. I think the best thing is to let it settle until I'm a bit less upset about it, which will also give him time to think about how unnecessary it is to lie about something so silly.
@Anarchy.. Thankful of your post also.. Coming from a...
Thanks for your reply. I just know there isn't going to be a way to discuss my concern without him getting on the defensive and kicking off!! The frustrating part isn't him smoking weed, it's him blatantly lying to me when I asked about smoking it.. I wondered was he worried that I'd be...
Hi guys,
I want to seek some advise before I do the wrong thing and make things worse by talking to my sufferer.
He has military ptsd, has spent some time in a combat treatment centre in Ayr, and weekly sees his therapist. So he is really trying.
