Society can teach us pretty stereotypical family roles which we always can't or don't want to follow. Sometimes we just need to have healthy boundaries rather than allows a relative/friend/coworker/anyone hurt us
I like spending time with my lived ones but the expectations and pressure on traditions cause me anxiety during holidays
Of feeling like you need to be joyful even if you feel like mourning or being pissed off
In my opinion you don't lose anything if you sowvd some time living at your friend's place. Later on, when you are better you could then rent a flat of your own or maybe find a shared housing with flatmates?
What are things that give you comfort in stressful times?
Some of mine
-Washing laundry in the morning
-Showering
-Good scents: lavender, pine, rose scebted soaps abd detergents
- Good songs in youtube
-the feeling after you have vacuumed the house. I have vacuuming but I hate dustballs...
I personally have following priority list which has helped me (might know work for everybody though)
Priority 1: I try to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep each night
Priority 2:
I try to eat regularly and mostly 'real' food
Priority 3: I try to go out each day to walk and go to gym 1-2 times a...
My friend's cat is not interested in toilet paper but any ball of yarn will get spread into the whole apartment until the rooms are throughout decorated with it

Edit: I think it's great you have long time dreams & plans for education and driving etc. I too have some plans for taking courses etc but if I try to focus what I actually want my mind goes blank...
I cant figure how to use the quoting function so I just reply to the whole message. I think focusing on let's say 30 days ahead might help you to feel less overwhelmed? So you don't feel like you need to figure out next 10 years right now? I have a tendency to try to plan every detail of my life...
Sorry to hear you had a hard day :/. I get you are in a lot of stress. I just wonder if you had days off (Saturday/Sunday?) you would have actually more mental energy and focus to reach your goals?
I think you are hit overthrowing things (I recognise same aptitude in me). It's perfectly normal...
