Like others have said, panic attacks happen for a reason. The persons PTSD was triggered, or it could have been general anxiety. It may seem out of the blue, but it's never from nothing. It's possible the sufferer doesn't even know why it happened.

I think the answer is in his threats. He knew he was doing wrong. Yes, I believe a 12 year old is capable of rape. At that age they most probably were abused and copying it. But the answer is still the same. I can understand why it'd be difficult to accept though.

When you feel like you are 4 years old, going on 400 years old. When you realise that doesn't make much sense, but its true. ;p

This is just my opinion, I'm no expert! I think bullying can for sure cause PTSD. Most people that are bullied don't get PTSD, but then not everyone who are severley abused gets it. I believe it's a mixture of factors that causes the PTSD. I have wonderd when bullying crosses the line into...

I'm a believer that ptsd can be caused by emotional abuse. By definition, any perceived threat can cause ptsd. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that means nobody has to say "I'm going to kill you" or wave knifes around etc. And as already mentioned, it can be caused by witnessing trauma...
