So IgG and IgM antibody testing for covid 19 for health care workers - $0. Same day. No wait.

For someone OSHA rated with same level of exposure and much less access to PPE and higher numbers of public contacted in a job in "critical infrastructure" - $300, 4-6 hour wait in a long line, first come first serve until tests run out.

Reliability of the test? No one knows...

(A little annoyed/fed up at the moment.)

The food supply chain is breaking due to corona19.

Tyson Foods warns 'the food supply chain is breaking' as plants close due to coronavirus

The food supply chain is breaking so I figured out that we needed a deep freezer. None can be found and are back-ordered, everywhere. Amazon has third-party sellers selling some for a thousand dollars. They are price gouging. It looks awful and some people can't pay the thousand and two thousand dollars they want. Some are new sellers ( just launched) The sellers are taking advantage of the pandemic again. Looks bad.

The freezers cant be filled with anything if the food supply is breaking

You can freeze just about anything....but you need to be more selective about where you buy your meet....I buy from primarily local farmers...much more controlled. You can also freeze dry vegetables and some meats, and they last a long time.

We have a local meat place as well. I know how to freeze things but the freezers are back-ordered. They are out everywhere. I would like to have a freezer but there is no sence in it now. For example, Sears can ship one on July 26, 2020. Third-party sellers on Amazon are offering a few for a thousand dollars. Price gouging..

Yup.....order the freezer. They are predicting a second wave of COVID in the fall....You think this is the only pandemic there will ever be?
I'm hoping that people will "get prepared."

Just to reiterate. There are no more freezers. They are sold out.. (Except for Amazon's price gouging freezers. I'm not buying a freezer for $2000.00) All freezers are back-ordered in the US.

This is one of Australia's experts on infectious diseases. She's very detailed. You can read all the research and papers attached to her talk they are listed.

Yeah, when we were told that this will not happen!

A whole food produce company in Florida is now struggling to stay open thus causing issue with produce going to stores.

ETA: They said they are going to be opening a store front in their warehouse, selling produce directly to the public, instead of stores. Intresting.

Our governor is meeting with the President face to face in the oval office. Not sure why. They said that they dont know what they'll be talking about but I can only imagine its about opening up Florida. I either missed the governor's speech about how that's gonna happen or he didn't make it. The last I heard is "we will open Florida very slowly in a stratgic mannor" but that's it. No specifics except for the beaches.

ETA: Hotels in Florida is using UV light to disinfect. They are in the -77%.

I guess the governor said he wants to take a regional approach. Opening up certian counties that have low COVID-19 numbers. He said that phase 1 won't be too much different then now.

They are warning for an extension of the stay at home order. The current one ends on Friday.

There's lots of rumblings around Australia about easing up restrictions.

Each State has a different take on what that means.

But since every State & Territory here now has an infection rate at either 0 - 10 people per day... for several days... I think it's worth thinking about doing? At this stage borders between States and Territories are still closed & I think until we all get on the same page a little bit more that's probably a good thing. But I suspect that won't take long unless we have a 'second wave'.

So, there is a slight lifting of the brake. Some places are lifting restrictions on visiting families, going for picnics and some beaches are being re-opened. I suppose we'll see if there is much of an uptick in infections and in what groups.

One of the most vexed questions is about the re-opening of schools. There seems to be an abundance of evidence suggesting that school children will not create more infections in the community if they return to face to face teaching.

It's widely believed it will be the teachers & parents - so all the adults - that mingle within the school community that will have to be super careful to prevent community transmission. So in other words doing the physical distancing as usual. I reckon that's achievable.

I'm sure they'll work on it. I mean I'm certain the parents will be happy to hand over their little darlings lol...

Florida schools are doing at home/on internet learning for the rest of the school year for this reason, I think. Its not so much the kids but the adults. But, as far as I know, kids can still be carriers. And children as well as young babies have gotten this. So, I'd still be very hesitant to let my kid go to school (if I had one) at this point. I would refuse and insist on internet learning at home for right now.

Though, our infection rate isn't that low either.
