Glad to see you are starting the road to recovery. You already know, but it will take time - don't push yourself too much. The one thing that helped me a lot when I came home from my knee surgery was ice - lots and lots of it, again Im sure you know this. The doctors told me to put it above my incisions, closer to my groin so that the blood would cool before it reached my knee and thus not cause more swelling. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware or not, but pain killers can cause constipation, especially the kind they give you after major surgery. Just something to keep in mind, though I do agree with the others to keep drinking lots of fluids and to check with the doc as soon as you can.
