Hello folks! I have been reading the novel Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Vern. I came across something interesting in it and thought I would test our collective minds on it. It is a code used in the book. But I would love to see if anyone here can crack this 149 year old code. It is a very simple code and you are going to do a forehead slap after you see how it works. Here is the secret message... go ahead and post your answers below. I will leave this unanswered for a few days and we will see what you guys come up with. If everyone is still struggling I will give a hint. Good luck!

My mind is terrible at these types of things.

Yes it is English. In a sense yes it is an anagram. No letters have been exchanged to symbolize another, meaning like A does not equal G or something like that. The words are actually spelled out perfectly right in front of you.

Later on today I will post a hint in case we do not get any guesses.
