Well, its come to this..... I had a massive breakdown after experiencing major flashbacks at work, got sedated, and now my inturnship is hanging on a thread. My psychologist is a massive help. She is my rock at this hard time. But tomorrow I will be facing my deamons in a massive four hour session. I have gone through quite a bit of trauma with her; I wont lie its not easy. The thought of reliving the horrors again in detail fightens me to my core. But what frightens me more is the aftermath from days to come. I guess I just wanted to post this just to get it out my system.

What are some easy ways to keep with it? I dont know if my grounding technique is good enough to get through the next few days. I don't want to be locked up.

The best way that I've found to keep with it is to stay accountable on these forums. To make daily plan to come here and share. Also, forcing myself to do baby steps and doing as much self care as I could muster--doing what I could to reduce the stress. That means asking for help and delegating.

What grounding technique do you use usually?

Do you have a safe place? Try drawing a picture of it. It will help to cement it in your mind and make it physical and tangible. If drawing isn't your thing write a dense description.

Breathing and mindfulness go out the window with me in tough situations but my safe place is always good.
