Hi everyone! I love that as soon as I typed in the post title, a bunch of other posts with the same title popped up 🤣

I’m 31F, formal diagnosis in the last 2-3 years, and struggling since I was 12. I also miss late night drives in my shitty car Toyota, those were the most calming times just blasting music and aimlessly driving.

What prompted me to post was the absolute internal meltdown I experienced today, I won’t dive into that. All that matters is I thought I’d be mostly ok, and then I was absolutely not ok at all.

Hopefully…or what I’m hoping for is to not feel as if I’m losing my mind and gaslighting myself. That other people struggle like I do.

To end on a positive note, a big part of coping, for me, is reading and baking.

Welcome to the forum☺️

I’ll be pretty surprised if there comes a day where I have completely stopped having random, unexpected meltdowns over the weirdest shit ever! Looking for the silver lining to that? I’m getting much better at helping myself recover from them as quickly and effectively as possible!

You are not losing your mind, we always question ourselves when it comes to sanity and I think that is a positive thing realizing an issue. I understand the baking and reading as an outlet, I like tinkering mechanical/engines etc. Keep doing what you love and distracts you, I am sure its all part of the journey and will help minimize your traumatic experiences. Time heals its just the journey through that's challenging.
