Running

I’ll go first.
I love off-road running. You just can’t beat the feeling when your body works like a machine and you just fly.
I used to run half marathons, years ago. Now I’m starting to train for one again. Kinda excited!

Yep - running has been keeping me sane since I had my ACL done (weird boxing injury). I prefer trails where I’m not competing for space, but I do the very occasional fun run to mix it up and have a goal to work towards.

Definitely a reliable way to clear my head, and most typically it will help me get good quality sleep as well.

Running is the best. So freeing.

I live both in the city and the countryside so I have the luxury of city runs along the river and landmarks. And then the countryside along small country roads, sometimes seeing dear and other wildlife. And the option for trail runs too (if I'm not too scared to run through the fields with bulls or cows!).

It brings a lot of positive feelings.
It can also bring some difficult ones though. I don't want to move or expose my body at times I am in a more difficult headspace. And running in the heat was/is a particular trigger. But I've worked through/been working through those.
Currently though, all that is manageable and it's bringing a lot of joy.
