I Don't Do It Just For My T

Thank you again, Arfie. I think you are right when you speak about a community. That's a quite difficoult thing to find for me, for many reasons. After writing you before, I read a post written by Anthony, who proposes a tecnique to find a core belief. I have found that my core belief of every...

    Finding Negative Core Beliefs [deleted]

Thank you Anthony! I've immediatly used this tecnique and I have found that the core thought of all my negative thoughts is the same. The problem is that I have this thought for something that I really lived for a long period in my life, it's not just a belief. It's very complicated. But maybe...

I Don't Do It Just For My T

Thank you, Arfie. Maybe I don't have enough support, I just have my T. And she doesn't always understand: she is not God and my case is really extreme and out of schemes. More: I grew up in such a difficoult situation and so alone, between so much indifference from the people, that I learned...

I Don't Do It Just For My T

When I am under pressure for an important goal, something I have to do, I have so much panic that I am blocked. And when time is running out, I wish to disappear, I want to die. In the past I didn't do it, using Buddhist thoughts. But, with time, I am more and more tired, my life is not going...

Anyone Take A Break From Emdr?

Maybe your EMDR should just go slower. I mean, maybe you do it too much. You don't have to do it every time you see your T, you can do other things, like just talk or CBT. EMDR is a very hard therapy, it can't be done at a high rate. Take it easy ;)

Research Brain Circuits Uniquely Disrupted In Gulf War Syndrome

Now an imaging study has found that these veterans have what appear to be unique structural changes in the wiring of their brains. This fits with the scientific consensus that Gulf War Syndrome (GWS) is a physical condition rather than a psychosomatic one, and should be treated with painkilling...

Study Backwards Signals Appear To Sensitize Brain Cells, Rat Study Shows

"The finding has implications not only for studies seeking to help people learn more efficiently, but also for attempts to understand and treat post-traumatic stress disorder―in which the mind has difficulty moving beyond a disturbing experience."...

    Stockholm Syndrome : Hopeless Now

I have been able to find some hope somewhere all of my life, but I can't now. Maybe it is because my brain is working a little better and I am seeing more things. I have no defenses, anyone can do me anything, I don' t realize when someone is willing to use me or to hurt me. I only see it when...

    Complex Dissociation

Hi folks! I post this in this area because I don't mean complex dissociation as a theme of discussion, since it is a fact. This thread comes from the session I've just had with my T (she rocks, by the way), who clearly explained me, today, that what I have (compex dissociation, derived from...

Do You Ever Feel As You Need A Life Coach?

It's also because I have a chronic degenerative illness, and because my PTSD is really huge. And because it's 17 years now that I have this huge PTSD.. But I also believe that life is as you get it ;)

Do You Ever Feel As You Need A Life Coach?

Thanks everybody. Last time I talked with my T about my difficulties in focusing my energies and time. I didn't say clearly that I would like her to be my life coach. At the end of the session I asked her how am I going and she said that she would like me to do more things, things that do me...

Supporter Hi, I'm A Supporter Who Needs Some Support

Hey hey.. slow down, man. I said that you "look" immature, to me. You wrote 4 lines, with no information about facts. The only information you reported is the feeling that I stressed in my quote. Now you are adding other informations, but one more time about you and about you feel...

This is, to me, quite exaggerated, you look immature. But this is your problem, not hers. Peace and love.

Do You Ever Feel As You Need A Life Coach?

I feel it since a quite long time... Now that I am a little better and I want to do something with my life, I'd like to ask my therapist to work also as life coach for me, but I am afraid of offending her.
