I had the benefit of a life coach for several months. I learned some basic techniques to apply, and practice. But rate wise, honestly? Life coaches rates are more reasonable than a psychiatrist or psychologist or therapist. It might make a good transition for some people. I had to screen out some, because of metaphysical stuff. Even then, the one I settled on was a German young man who was both faith based (Catholic) and a Huna healer. I didn't go down the Huna rabbit hole, but appreciated his take on some things in my life. It was a positive experience generally, though I terminated sessions when his life became difficult and a good part of our sessions became about his difficulty with his relationship.
No animosity, just sensed some unavailability in the last several sessions... but I didn't regret the time I had, it was worth it. I'd do it again, perhaps, but can't afford it. Health issues pretty much sap my income these days.
