2013 Kris Kringle Across The Continents - Cut Off 30 Sept

Thanks to ISH - there are only 114 days until Christmas and the aim is to do our Kris Kringle early November as too many people have commitments later on.

Details to come - if you want to register, you must be willing to send a gift with a cost of $20 (or hand made with time and effort) and be willing to send it overseas, in time to be received by a to be decided date, to a nominated person anonymously.

To register to participate please PC me with Kris Kringle 2013 as the title and include your delivery name and address. Please be aware of customs in that you may have to declare your name on a mailing document or that the recipient may only be able to receive mail to or from a proper name - not your forum name.

ISH is a member..... :)

There are members who live in various countries around the world. As much as possible, for those who participate I try and work it so they send a gift to someone in a different country and they receive a gift from someone in another country but not the same person they sent it to. The aim is then that most people feel safer as, if they need to disclose a name or return address, the chance of anyone turning up and using it is minute. I also screen members as much as I can.

I can only speak for myself but I like to give (and receive) something that represents my local area or country. Or something meaningful or even helpful with PTSD. Of course a gag gift thrown in can be fun too! If you look at the thread from last year, there were lots of great gifts sent! Honestly? I have something already purchased!!!!!!!

No pressure though, whatever you send will be heart felt and appreciated!

How about a new tradition? No exchange! Just everyone sends ME a present! :roflmao:

May I please put forward one request though.........

While Anthony and I loved all the kind gestures of last year with people sending us gifts, even though I took us out of the Kris Kringle to remove any bias, this year we ask that if you would like to do anything for us, please donate to the forum to keep this resource here rather than sending us gifts. A card will suffice if you really want to mail something :) Every dollar donation counts so even $1 from a few people will assist in lifting the burden upon us for other running expenses of this and the other forums aside from the server costs like software upgrades etc.

I may need to move offices November/December so I may not be in a position to send cards like in prior years. I apologise in advance but between the time here, the other forum and work there is little left at present so I cannot commit to anything.
