2014 Kris Kringle - 3rd Annual Event

@Nicolette I am very new to this. Can you tell me how Kris Kringle is done? I would like to read more info and stay sure. So I can make up my mind whether to get in or not.

How do you run KK?

basically all participants PC me their details - I then try to ensure that each member gets to send a gift to someone in another country (or as far across the US as possible due to many US based members) and that they receive an international gift (or it's from someone in another country if online shopping which seems to be easiest). This also sort of protects members as I'm not sharing details of someone who could then come knocking on your door.

Once I have my spreadsheet up and sorted, I PC each participant their 'recipient' and they get to be Kris Kringle for that member - with me emphasizing not to disclose any details upon the forum or elsewhere. The gift must then be sent by the cut off date to ensure fairness to all.

We then run two threads being gifts sent and received (again no disclosure to who or where) so that we can keep a track and get excited along the way eg

and while that is happening we try and set a time and date that members can come online in chat and open their gifts in the online presence of others.
