Affordable (ha) care act insurance alternatives?

Does anyone know of any health insurance that cuts around the ACA?
I'm on Medicaid now, and the mental health coverage is really shitty. I just applied for ACA, and did not qualify for the tax credit, because I've been too despondent/bed ridden to manage things like filing taxes every quarter. Without the credit, the plans are $300-$400. No way.

Isn't there just some private insurance you can pay a reasonable price for?

Private health care would be more expensive, I know someone that pays well over $600 for healthcare. So the ACA would probably be your best bet....

My private health insurance for my husband, son, and myself has been as high as 3400 a month. Yes, I did say three thousand four hundred a month. Yep $40,800 a year.... I went out and got a commercial policy and am now paying 2200 for about the same coverage. It's nuts!
