Afraid to Speak Mind about God

you have a tough problem, even the wisest and most gracious of people in the world cannot please all of the people all of the time nor agree with all of the people all of the time,
all i can say is no ones going to get mad or leave if you dont know the answer to something and no one minds if you believe in god or have your own beliefs, everybody is different, if you want to talk of god and someone thinks something different i dont think anyone here will get mad, we may talk on our different thoughts but no one will deny you the right to feel how you feel or believe what you believe on such things because they think differently, no ones going to get mad or leave because you disagree with them or think something different, people may talk of things and discuss them but they are discussing things and looking at them trying to find a way forward, theres no im right your wrong, theres no i believe this so you must as well, just talk discussion and looking at things, sometimes in life people hold very different and sometimes conflicting ideas, it doesnt mean they would make the other person change or reject them, it just means you have different ideas on something, agree to disagree and move on, i have friends who are very close and we often have things we very much have different views on and disagree sometimes quite strongly on, respecting someone even when they have opinions which disagree with yours is a good thing, not sure ive said anything useful, but if you feel you want to talk about something then do, but do not try to avoid things because you think people wont agree or may think differently ,be who you are and talk is all there is, i hope things go well with you,

Holly,

You can say whatever you would like to say, indeed.
The flip side is that everyone else can so the same thing.....This is a PTSD website.....
Most people who post are in the same boat...hurt...lost...looking for answers and someone to help them...or even someone they can help.

I myself...have refrained more than once on using my thoughts on god in a post ....It's not that it is not right...it's that you catch more flies with honey. If you really want to help people...than you appeal to everyone in order to be heard by a mass sometimes.

See Holly, I know and belive in god....but...not all do and some have lost the way.

Please keep in mind you are talking to people who have been seen events that shake their world to their very foundation and beliefs.

All I am saying....is it might be a touching subject, perhaps even a trigger to them?

However, as stated above.....these pretty much are your rights.

In end, Please do NOT be afraid to speak your mind about god.....But....take responsibility for your triggers. While you cannot help them and you may indeed have no control of them...you have to understand .....if your placing yourself on this website speaking about something that is already a rocky topic....it might get a little off tha chain......

Protect yourself with the understand that your faith is all yours....not one person on this earth can take that away....no matter what they do. So....speak your mind....or don't...either way...It's on you...not us.

Respectfully,

Geneva

I suppose I'm going to be evil one here.
Holly according to your profile, you live in Delaware. Last I knew Delaware is still part of the United States. That being the case, since I know for a fact that Delaware has not seceeded from the United States, you are still entitle to you Freedom of Religion as guaranteed by the United States Constitution. Along with that there are multiple federal and even state laws that protect that very right. And THAT is, Holly, the exact reason why I enlisted in the United States Army. So that people CAN retain not just the freedom of speech, but the freedom of religion. Both are covered by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

I am sorry that people disagreeing with you is a trigger. I hope you can find a way around that. Because though I may or may not not agree with your idea on religion, I enjoy seeing people like yourself exercising the same rights I served to protect.

You'll be in my prayers that you can resolve this trigger issue, Holly.

First of all, CJ you are not the evil one for saying this:smile: I totally agree with you.

Holly, if your faith is helping you get through this difficult time....hold on to it tight. Look at how many different books, articles, and websites there are on PTSD and how to work through it. I am sure that there are widely differing opinions on these works, but people have to use what works for them.

We all have PTSD...we are all going to be triggered by something at some point. I am praying that this becomes less of a trigger for you .

thanks for the support guys...its really coming at good time....got my peace taken again...can't stop crying
