Hi there,
I dropped my boyfriend off at the National PTSD clinic last week and it's just been awful for the both of us. He has horrible survivors remorse, (he was in the service for 13 years and in combat 4 times) so this is something we both agreed he should do, however it's not turning out ANYTHING like he was "sold" prior to him checking in. He can check out whenever he wants, but that would damage his percentage so he's going to stick it out. I'm having a hard time because I suffer from horrible anxiety issues and worrying about him in there is throwing me into a tailspin myself. I am in therapy but just talking to him on the phone and visiting him makes me go into semi panic attacks.
I was just wondering if anyone out there has gone through this program or had someone you love go through it and how you handled it and if it even worked for them.
Thanks!
