Are No Relationships Good?

I dont feel I am getting enough support.
Everybody else's opinion, I'm still trying to find out the underlying issue. I don't know what my traumas have been, I have a vague idea.
I know its harmful to me too I didnt know what I was doing or why i was doing it.
Therapy would help with both these things. Ask for a referral, or find a new GP if he's not willing to do that.

@digger
I feel I am giving my GP a bad name, he has helped me. I think he would be disappointed in me. He says im not trying hard enough when I feel shit. My friend who has been though similar problems thinks i should see someone else too. What kind of therapy is there?

You deserve alot more than what you've been given. A GP is hardly an expert on trauma. I mean, therapists work on their skills constantly to keep up with traumatology. And, it sounds sexist to me what he said to you and then sends you on your way for 2 months. Push for an assessment by experts.

Getting therapy would be a positive step towards helping yourself get better. He should support that, not be disappointed by it. If he were to show disappointment at you wanting to get yourself more help, then I would be questioning how good a GP he is and whose interests he is prioritising.

As for what therapy is available, it varies across the UK. You would need to look/ask/research what's available in your area.
In some places you can actually refer yourself to some psychological services.

I think there's something else but I dont know if thats just me.
I think you should (somehow) get an evaluation from a psychiatrist or psychotherapist. I don't really grasp how the UK system works, but I agree with others who have said that you could use more therapeutic support. The way your doctor describes you, it sounds like he thinks you have Borderline Personality Disorder; I'm not saying you do, just his analysis plus the way you described some of your own behaviors in your intro thread leads me to think it would at least be worth ruling it out. At minimum, I think you'd prefer getting therapy from an actual trauma therapist, not just a GP.

@KwanYingirl Thank you I think i will. I've had enough of this Dr.

@digger Would I become reliant on the therapy though? I dont want to be good enough to stop therapy then slip up again and have to go back a few months later if you get me?

@joeylittle PTSD is borderline personality disorder? or thats what he told me anyway. Thank you for your support. In one discussion about a personal topic he told me it was higher than him but wouldnt refer me to go down the sexual abuse route because of something and I cant remember why.

oh sorry I never explain myself right. Well therapy once a week or once a fortnight becomes like an crutch? I would become relying on the therapist to sort me out rather than me sorting me out?

No, like Digger says - two different disorders, two different diagnoses, and two different kinds of therapy that are overlapping but really have to be considered each important in their own right.

Get yourself to a psychological evaluation done by a psych doctor. I really think it's your next step.

My GP told me PTSD was another label rather than a personality disorder since he didn't like the terminology :L
