Relationship Boundaries

My vet explained to me that when he needs to isolate, it overwhelms everything including communicating with family. He cannot see beyond the need to isolate and get away. Nothing at all. It’s such a strong driver, that normal societal rules just do not apply. Will not text back, will not see anyone, will retreat. It’s a force stronger than anything else that exists. Me and his friends have learned to leave him be for a few weeks when that happens and then check back in, with a casual text saying hi and hoping he is well. Hope that helps @Brturner13

@anon1234 yes helps a ton! I sent a text saying hi and fully knowing he wont answer me back today. I know hes got some peesonal stuff to deal with this weekend so Ill leave him a lone until he texts back. Tell your vet thanks for the input!!! Anything helps!
