News Brain Changes Seen In Veterans With Ptsd After Mindfulness Training

Like an endlessly repeating video loop, horrible memories plague people with post-traumatic stress disorder. But a new study in veterans shows the promise of mindfulness training for enhancing the ability to manage those thoughts if they come up, and not get 'stuck'. It also shows the veterans' brains changed in ways that may help them find their own off switch for that endless loop.

Oh yeah, absolutely amazing. I took part in a mindfulness course 6 years ago. It was night and day. The brain patterns crept back the past two years but that's normal. I felt relief for three years. Best years of my life. I hope that I can get that level again in my lifetime. Luckily, it's possible with intense training.

This! I've been waiting for evidence based answers to show emdr like therapies, mindfulness practices can actually improve ptsd in a way that is objective! I want to show this article to everyone! Can't wait for more research. :)
